Welcome to EquiFriends

We provide therapeutic horseback riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities. Horse riding provides an avenue for personal growth and individual achievement. Our goal is to have our students ride as independently as possible. For those that are able, we teach horsemanship skills, including caring for the horses and tack.

We have a PATH International certified instructor who gives the lessons. PATH Intl is the premier organization supporting therapeutic horsemanship in the US.

Our programs are custom designed to meet our participants' abilities, both physical and mental. They are designed to build muscle tone, body core strength, emotional fortitude, a sense of independence, confidence and achievement. A special joy is the bond that forms between rider and horse.

Lessons are between 30 minutes and one hour long. The range of activities goes from lead line, riding with side walkers and to independent riding. We are located in the heart of the Riverside Green Belt. We have access to a large arena as well as many miles of trails.

Our riders can also compete at local shows. The main show is CALNET which is held in the spring at the LA Equestrian Center. Additional shows include KECSA held in the fall at the Hanson Dam Equestrian Center in Sylmar, as well as Rising Stars held twice a year in Rancho Cucamonga.
